I am both a HeartMath Certified Practitioner and a Trauma-Sensitive HeartMath Certified Practitioner. What is Heart Rate Variability?

Your initial session is where we lay the foundation. We take the time to understand your full health picture — your stress load, sleep, immune health, hormonal patterns, and what's brought you here — before introducing you to the biofeedback technology and recording your baseline HRV reading.

 

You'll be guided through your first coherence technique with real-time feedback on screen, so you can see exactly what's happening in your nervous system and begin to learn how to shift it. We close with a personalised home practice plan and a clear outline of what to expect from your sessions ahead.

 

This session is suitable for new clients coming specifically for HRV biofeedback, as well as existing Gypsy Belle Botanicals clients looking to integrate nervous system support into their care.

HRV Follow Up Session | $165 (60 mins)

Each follow-up session builds on the last. We review your progress, check in on your home practice, and deepen your coherence training with new techniques tailored to where you are right now. Your session data is tracked over time so you can see — in real terms — how your nervous system is responding and adapting. Follow-up sessions are recommended fortnightly or monthly depending on your goals and clinical presentation.

HRV Biofeedback Session TEEN 14+ | $154 (60 mins)

Teenagers are navigating more pressure than ever — academic demands, social complexity, big emotions, and bodies that are still developing their stress response. HRV biofeedback offers something genuinely useful for this stage of life: a way to understand what's happening inside, and practical tools to feel more in control of it.

 

This initial session is designed with teens in mind — relaxed, curious, and completely judgement-free. We start with a gentle conversation about what's been going on for them: their stress, sleep, energy, focus, and how they've been feeling in their body. From there, we introduce the biofeedback technology and take a baseline reading together, before guiding them through their first coherence technique and watching their nervous system respond in real time on screen.

 

Most teenagers find this surprisingly engaging — there's something powerful about seeing your own biology reflected back at you, and realising you can actually change it. They leave with a simple home practice they can use before exams, after training, during a difficult moment, or simply at the end of a long day.

 

This session is well suited to teens experiencing anxiety, exam stress, emotional overwhelm, difficulty with focus or sleep, chronic health conditions, or those involved in competitive sport who want a mental edge. A parent or guardian is welcome to be present for the initial conversation, with the session itself conducted with the teen.

Frequently Asked Questions

How many sessions will I need? 

That depends on your goals and what's going on for you. Some clients notice a shift after just one or two sessions, while others benefit from a longer program. I offer single sessions, 4-session packs, and a comprehensive 10-session program for those who want to go deeper. We'll talk about what makes sense for you during your first session.

Do I need any equipment for telehealth HRV sessions?

For in-person sessions, I use the emWave Pro 2 and Inner Balance Coherence Plus, so you don't need anything. For supported home practice between sessions, I may recommend the Inner Balance sensor (a small ear clip that connects to your phone), but this is optional and we'll discuss it together.

Is HRV biofeedback suitable if I've experienced trauma?

 Yes. I hold a Trauma-Sensitive HeartMath certification, which means I'm trained to work safely and gently with clients whose nervous systems have been shaped by adverse experiences. Sessions are always paced to where you are. We never push beyond what feels safe, and you are always in control of the process.

What does a session actually look like? 

We start with a baseline HRV reading so we can see where your nervous system is at that day. From there, I guide you through a HeartMath coherence technique while you watch your heart rhythm on screen in real time. You'll see your own nervous system shift as it happens, which is incredibly powerful. We finish by reviewing your session data and building a simple home practice plan.

Is this the same as meditation? 

No. HRV biofeedback is not meditation. There's no clearing your mind, no trying to relax, and no sitting in stillness hoping something shifts. Coherence training is an active practice of focused attention. You're deliberately directing your awareness in a specific way while real-time feedback on screen shows you exactly what's happening in your autonomic nervous system. You can see whether the technique is creating coherence or not, and adjust in the moment. It's measurable, it's specific, and it builds a skill you can call on anywhere. I'm already a naturopathic client. Is HRV included in my consultations? 

I use HRV as a baseline assessment tool with all naturopathic clients, so you'll experience it as part of your clinical care. The standalone HRV sessions and packages listed on this page are for dedicated coherence training, which goes deeper into building your self-regulation skills over time. Many clients do both.
